** 7/25/13 Update: Buster Brown was adopted by two fantastic ladies who will give him the loving life he deserves! **
Buster Brown is a shy guy with a sad past of having entropion (where his eyelid folds under causing hairs to rub against his eye – ouch!), getting hit by a car and caught in a coyote trap. His previous humans have dumped him due to these issues, which is hard to believe because this little Border Terrier mix is as sweet and gentle as they come. I took him home for a Friday overnight before his big KVUE Pet of the Week spot, and totally fell in love. He’s the kind of pup who bonds strongly with “his” person, and it was a joy to see him emerge from his shy shell and make himself at home on my couch and bed.
Buster Brown was GREAT with my cat and big dog, so would probably do well in a multi-pet family. Please come meet him in kennel 427 at Austin Animal Center! Buster Brown is part of the Hard Luck Hounds program, so his adoption fee is waived and he comes with follow-up support from the HLH team of dog-savvy volunteers.
