On Sunday, I had a chaperoned date (how Amish) with my on-again-off-again girlfriend, Maddie. Her human found Maddie at Austin German Shepherd Rescue – If you’re in the market for a beast with irresistible ears like Maddie’s, AGSR can hook you up.
Anyhow, like many women, Maddie likes to “correct” men like me when we engage in too much “macho swaggering” (whatever that is). Apparently I have “impolite greeting behavior” with other dogs, and Maddie lets me know I crossed the line by giving me a sharp, ear-shattering bark. How rude, right? With this muscular bod I should be able to do what I want. Guess not. Anyhow, after barking her “correction” at me, Maddie always comes back for more playtime (because, let’s face it, I’m enchanting). Mom likes to schedule these play dates with pretty girl dogs so I will “stay socialized and improve my manners”. Sometimes this includes group “walks” (read: slowly waddling humans holding me back from a real hamhock-toning workout) with other muscular mutts from Love-A-Bull. Mom is always looking for more mannerly pooch pals for me. Let her know if you’d like to schedule a play session!
